The 4th Degree June 2012 wine tour was a great success and a lot of fun was had by all.
The tour bus left Frydek at 10:00am Saturday morning and we were at the Saddlehorn Winery in Burton, TX within an hour and a half. Most of my pictures were taken at this location. After sampling some of the wines and enjoying the atmosphere, we went to the Must Be Heaven sandwich shoppe in Brenham for lunch; and I must say the name of the restaurant lived up to its "heavenly" reputation! Afterwads we visited the Pleasant Hill winery just outside of Brenham where we learned how wine is made. One of the nice treats of this wine-making lesson was the 20 minutes we spent in the 60 degree basement where the oak barrels and stainless steel barrels are kept ... too bad it did not last longer ... it was fabulous! With our tour time winding down, we were off to the Buffalo Creek Grill south of Bellville. Here we relaxed, cooled down and had something to eat before finally making our way back to Frydek around 6:30pm.
We all had a great time and recognized that spending time with friends and enjoying a nice glass of wine is indeed one of life's simple pleasures.
The following pictures are just a small sample of the fun we had. If you have some pictures of the wine tour you want to share, please forward them to me so I can post them. Thanks to David and Cathy Ondruch for contributing some of their pictures.
